Dr. Jan Becker ist CEO und Gründer von Apex.AI, Inc. Er ist außerdem Geschäftsführer der Apex.AI GmbH sowie Lehrbeauftragter an der Stanford University. Im Jahr 2019 wurde Jan in den externen Beirat von MARELLI berufen, um den MARELLI Vorstand strategisch zu beraten. Vor der Gründung von Apex.AI trug er als Hauptabteilungsleiter bei Faraday Future für das autonome Fahren und als Abteilungsleiter bei Robert Bosch LLC die Verantwortung für das automatisierte Fahren in Nordamerika. Tätig war er außerdem als Fachreferent im Bosch Research and Technology Center in Palo Alto, CA, USA, und im Bereich Corporate Research bei der Robert Bosch GmbH, Deutschland. Seit 2010 ist Jan Becker Lehrbeauftragter an der Stanford University für autonome Fahrzeuge und Fahrerassistenz. Als Gastwissenschaftler am Artificial Intelligence Lab der Universität und Mitglied des Stanford Racing Teams war er an der DARPA Urban Challenge 2007 beteiligt. Im Jahr 2018 hat er die Autoware Foundation mitgegründet und war von 2018 bis 2020 im Vorstand der Stiftung.
Jan Becker hat seinen Doktortitel in Regelungstechnik an der Technischen Universität Braunschweig, Deutschland, erworben und trägt einen Master-Titel für Maschinenbau und Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik der State University of New York at Buffalo, USA sowie einen Master-Abschluss in Elektrotechnik der Technischen Universität Darmstadt, Deutschland.

Jan Becker is CEO and Co-Founder of Apex.AI, Inc. He is also the Managing Director of the Apex.AI GmbH. Prior to founding Apex.AI, he was Senior Director at Faraday Future responsible for Autonomous Driving and Director at Robert Bosch LLC responsible for Automated Driving in North America. He also served as a Senior Manager and Principal Engineer at the Bosch Research and Technology Center in Palo Alto, CA, USA, and as a senior research engineer for Corporate Research at Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany. Since 2010, Jan is Lecturer at Stanford University for autonomous vehicles and driver assistance. Previously, he was a visiting scholar at the University’s Artificial Intelligence Lab and a member of the Stanford Racing Team for the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge. In 2019, Jan was appointed to serve on the external Advisory Board of MARELLI to provide strategic advice to the MARELLI Board. In 2018, he co-founded the Autoware Foundation on was on the foundation’s board of directors until 2020.
Jan earned a Ph.D. in control engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, a master’s degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany.
