Janis McDavid came into the world without arms and legs in Hamburg in 1991. Raised in Bochum, he now lives in Bochum and Berlin.In 2011, he started his studies in economics at Witten/Herdecke, Germany,with a semester abroad (2014) in London. 2016 publication of his first book DEIN BESTES LEBEN – Vom Mut, über sich hinauszuwachsen und Unmögliches möglich zu machen!by Herder Verlag and was also published as an audio book. 2018 Winner of the International Speaker Slam in Hamburg 2019 Winner of the International Speaker Slam in New York. 2020 Janis McDavid raced at the Hockenheimring as a brand ambassador for Schaeffler Paravan Technologie (SPT) in a race car specially modified for him. In 2021, his second book was also published by Herder Verlag:ALL OTHERS ARE ALREADY THERE – The Art of Being Yourself! In 2021 Janis McDavid climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with friends, accompanied by a ZDF team for the programs "Menschen" and "37 Grad".Janis McDavid has traveled to 47 countries so far and has already spoken in over 400 lectures to more than 70,000 people in twelve countries.
